The Forever Open is bringing a $100,000 prize pool to World of Warcraft: Forever beta PvP. The community-run duel tournament, hosted by Tips Out, Esfand and Xaryu, is scheduled for Oct. 17–18. TimTheTatman added $50,000 to the original prize pool. This is an organizer-run event, not an official Blizzard tournament. The event page and prize breakdown set out the details.

Players will fight one-on-one at level 30. Qualifiers take place Oct. 17, with the top four players from each class moving on to best-of-five finals Oct. 18. The overall winner is due $50,000 and the “Death’s Duelist” title. The prize breakdown also lists about $5,555 for the highest finisher in each class.

Registration has already closed. The organizers ended sign-ups on Oct. 2 after receiving a large number of entries, ahead of the previously advertised Oct. 4 deadline. Entrants needed beta access and a new Horde character made for the event. Registered players must reach level 30 and pay a 15-gold fee at check-in. The event information page carries the updated notice.

Competitors must stream their duels and keep recordings available for review. The tournament rules ban several consumables and buffs, including Magic Dust and protection potions. Organizers may adjust the rules while the beta changes. Viewers can follow the main broadcasts on Esfand’s and Xaryu’s Twitch channels.

Blizzard raised the Forever beta level cap to 30 on Oct. 1, giving competitors time to prepare at the tournament’s target level. The dates, prizes and current rules are confirmed by The Forever Open organizers; results and any later rule changes remain open.
