Players exploring the World of Warcraft: Forever beta have discovered that the Cozy Sleeping Bag is available again. The useful leveling item first appeared in Season of Discovery, but its full scavenger-hunt quest chain has now been carried into Forever. Blizzard has not highlighted the return in a separate announcement; its presence has been confirmed through the live beta quest data and by players completing the chain.

The Cozy Sleeping Bag creates a portable place to rest almost anywhere in the world. After lying inside it for one minute, a character gains a 1% bonus to experience. The effect adds another percentage point each minute, reaching a maximum of 3%, and the completed buff lasts for one hour. The character also begins accumulating rested experience while using the bag. It is useful before a dungeon, a long questing session or a dangerous journey into the next zone.

Characters can begin the chain at level 14, but Alliance and Horde players start in different places. Alliance characters should travel to Alexston Farmstead in Westfall, at approximately 37, 50, and inspect the Burned-Out Remains beside the wrecked cart. Horde characters begin south of Camp Taurajo in the Barrens, at approximately 46, 74, where another set of Burned-Out Remains can be found beneath a ruined tower. The object begins the quest “…and that note you found.” Each faction must then visit the other faction’s starting location before continuing.

The remaining clues send both factions across old Azeroth. Players visit an abandoned camp in the Stonetalon Mountains, jump to a hidden dirt mound, cross to an eagle figurine on the Loch Modan dam and finally climb into Thoradin’s Wall from the Hillsbrad side. The last step begins from a Messenger Bag near 87.3, 49.6. Clicking the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel below it completes “This Must Be The Place” and awards the Cozy Sleeping Bag. The journey also provides experience and five pieces of Student Fodder, a consumable source of rested experience.

The return is a small but clever fit for WoW Forever. The quest encourages players to cross faction territory, revisit overlooked corners of the original continents and occasionally help strangers with an awkward jump. During Season of Discovery, groups often placed their sleeping bags outside dungeons and rested together before entering. Forever now has the same opportunity: a simple leveling bonus that can turn a three-minute pause into a social event.
