WoW Forever beta players have discovered a secret Druid Serpent Form connected to Wailing Caverns. The transformation appears when a Druid equips the complete reworked Embrace of the Viper set, giving players another reason to revisit one of original WoW's best-known early dungeons.
The five required items are Armor of the Fang, Belt of the Fang, Footpads of the Fang, Gloves of the Fang and Leggings of the Fang. Pieces drop from several bosses inside Wailing Caverns, so collecting the appearance can take more than one run.
Noah, who posts as BwuhMG, shared the discovery from the beta on September 19. Some players initially suspected an edited image, but members of the WoW Classic development team confirmed that the transformation was intentional.
Senior game designer Aidan “Zirene” Moon added that each playable Druid race receives a different serpent color. The form also has a special Prowl animation: the serpent lowers its body and slithers along the ground while moving in stealth.
The full set is required to trigger the transformation. Beta testers have not established whether its appearance can also be kept through transmog after replacing the gear. The discovery shows how Forever can make low-level dungeon sets desirable for their visual effects as well as their combat bonuses.
