Blizzard is preparing another Remix event, and this time players are going back to Northrend. Wrath of the Lich King Remix was announced during the World of Warcraft: Midnight presentation at BlizzCon 2026 and appears in the summer section of the official 2027 roadmap.

The setting gives Blizzard one of WoW’s most recognizable eras to revisit. Northrend includes the frozen wastes of Icecrown, the Titan history of Ulduar, the conflict around the Wrathgate and the final assault on the Lich King. These zones and raids could support a long progression path for both returning players and collectors.

Previous Remix events used accelerated leveling, unusual character power and large collections of cosmetic rewards. That history gives players a useful idea of what the name may mean, but it is not a confirmed feature list for Wrath Remix. Blizzard has not yet detailed its progression system, currencies, raid changes or rewards.

The roadmap places the event after patch 12.2.7, during summer 2027. It does not provide an exact launch date or say how long the event will remain available. Blizzard also has not confirmed whether existing characters can participate or whether players will need to create new Remix characters.

For now, only the return to Northrend and the planned summer 2027 window are confirmed. More details will be needed before players can plan characters or reward farming, but the announcement already makes the Lich King’s expansion the next major chapter in WoW’s Remix experiments.
