World of Warcraft Housing is receiving a major set of improvements in Midnight: Eclipse. Blizzard has announced a new Housing Showcase, poseable mannequins, better decorating controls, easier access to extra décor, and four additional Neighborhood Endeavors.
Housing Showcase will let players browse featured homes directly from the Housing dashboard. Builders can submit a snapshot of their home to a showcase or themed event, then continue decorating without changing the submitted version. Some events will offer exclusive décor rewards, and Visitor Codes will make individual homes easier to share.
Mannequins will give collectors a new way to display their transmog library. Players will be able to place them inside a home, choose a pose, and equip them with unlocked armor and weapon appearances. That turns unused gear designs into part of a room’s decoration rather than leaving them hidden inside the collection menu.
Decorating should also become much faster. Multi-select will allow several objects to be moved or rotated together, while copy-paste will reproduce an item’s size, rotation, and dye settings when the required copies are available. Once a player has obtained a décor item from its vendor, additional copies can be purchased from inside the home.
All of these features are confirmed for Eclipse, although Blizzard has not announced an exact release date for the update. Four new Endeavors are also planned, including Stormriders of the Isle of Dorn. Source: Blizzard’s official Midnight What’s Next panel recap.
