Blizzard has revealed *World of Warcraft: Midnight — Eclipse*, the next major chapter of the current expansion. The new trailer moves the conflict beyond another local threat: the Void has reached the heart of Azeroth, and Xal’atath is now close to the Worldsoul itself.

The title “Eclipse” fits the mood of the footage. Light disappears, the sky changes and the heroes of Azeroth face a battle that looks much larger than the war around Quel’Thalas. Blizzard describes Xal’atath as standing at the edge of victory and gives players a simple choice: face the darkness or be consumed by it.

This reveal matters because Midnight is the middle part of the Worldsoul Saga. The War Within brought players closer to the planet’s hidden soul, while Midnight made the Void’s attack direct. Eclipse now appears to be the bridge between that invasion and The Last Titan, the final expansion in the trilogy.

Blizzard has not yet published a release date or a full feature list for Eclipse. The trailer confirms the name and the main story direction, but details about zones, raids, dungeons and progression still need to come from the WoW development team. Any claim about the final boss or the fate of Xal’atath would therefore be speculation.
