The WoW August 25 hotfixes are now live, combining a large class-tuning pass with changes to Season 2 dungeons and the Venomous Abyss raid. Many of the class buffs were announced in advance, but the official hotfix list now confirms their live values and adds a much broader set of encounter adjustments.

Frost Death Knight received 6% more overall ability and melee damage, plus a 15% increase to Obliterate. Havoc Demon Hunter gained 3% damage, while Beast Mastery Hunter received stronger Beast Cleave and Wild Thrash. Warlocks saw some of the largest numbers: permanent demon damage rose by 350%, and Affliction and Demonology gained multiple single-target and area-damage buffs.

Healers and tanks also changed. Restoration Druid's Rejuvenation and Germination healing increased by 15%, with Wild Growth up 10%, although raid-focused talents were adjusted to limit the total raid gain. Preservation Evoker's Verdant Embrace and Living Flame healing increased. Brewmaster Monk gained 3% damage and 20% stronger Celestial Brew absorbs, while Protection Warrior received better magic reduction from Fight Through the Flames.

Dungeon changes are extensive. Blizzard removed or repositioned enemies in Altar of Fangs, The Blinding Vale, Den of Nalorakk and other Mythic+ dungeons, while adjusting enemy-forces requirements to protect routes. Nymrissa Wavecaller lost health and damage on higher difficulties. The Venomous Abyss also requires less blood to open doors, has fewer creatures, shorter Venom Withdrawal effects and much weaker Serpent Wards.

All numbers above are confirmed in Blizzard's live notes; some fixes may still require a scheduled realm restart, as Blizzard warns at the top of the page. The real effect on raid rankings and Mythic+ balance will only become clear from play data. Source: Official World of Warcraft source
