The WoW August 26 hotfixes focus on bugs that could block gear upgrades or make encounters behave incorrectly. Blizzard published the list on August 27, and some changes may require a scheduled realm restart. The update is smaller than the previous class-tuning pass, but several fixes are important for Season 2 players.

Raid gear received the most useful corrections. Armor from the Coiled Altar and Ula’tek can now be transformed through the Catalyst when it comes from the Great Vault or a Voidcore roll, including existing eligible items. Blizzard also fixed Season 2 items that could not accept a socket. Players offered Silvermoon Splendor in the Great Vault can still select it and receive a Nebulous Voidcore.

The Venomous Abyss received several encounter fixes. Story Mode followers should now lead the group correctly when Dungeon Assistance is enabled. Cauterizing Flame can properly remove Splinters during The Lost Explorers, while Ula’tek should no longer use raid-wide damage because Mother's Wrath failed to select a target. Duplicate applications of Doomscale Shell were also corrected.

Class fixes affect Devourer Demon Hunter, Protection Paladin, Holy Priest, Elemental Shaman and Warrior. Blizzard corrected problems involving the Devourer two-piece visual, Glory of the Vanguard, Guardian Spirit's cooldown, Healing Surge scaling and Sudden Death. Delves also received fixes for misplaced Undergraduates, Gnok casting while moving and Upheaval targeting pets.

Every change above is confirmed in Blizzard's official notes. The practical effect on existing Catalyst items should be visible immediately where the hotfix is active, but Blizzard does not promise that every server receives every change without a restart. Source: Official World of Warcraft source
