Blizzard has shared an early look at the *WoW Midnight Season 3 dungeons*, and several returning instances will feel very different. The developers say they are reviewing old pain points such as slow pacing, unclear abilities, heavy caster packs, and routes that gave groups too little freedom. The changes are still being developed ahead of public testing, but the direction is now official.

The biggest surprise is in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. On Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulty, the dungeon will drop from five bosses to four because the Lost Dwarves encounter is being deactivated. Blizzard also plans to change Emberon so Purging Flames begins at fixed health thresholds instead of repeating on an energy cycle. That should shorten high-key fights and reduce the risk of an extra phase delaying a run.

Iron Docks is getting a broader modernization. Blizzard wants to rework non-boss enemies, especially the stationary ranged packs near the entrance, and update all four boss encounters. The popular Iron Stars will remain, although the team wants routes to depend less on them while keeping the satisfying ability to bowl through groups of orcs.

The Stonecore is receiving the most complete overhaul, with new encounter designs, updated creature models, and visual improvements across the dungeon. Sanguine Depths will have fewer dense caster packs and clearer enemy abilities. In The Underrot, Elder Leaxa and Cragmaw are being adjusted, while new enemy placement should create more route choices near the end of the instance.

Maisara Caverns and Magisters’ Terrace are also on Blizzard’s list for smaller changes, including encounter and enemy updates. What is confirmed today is Blizzard’s plan and the Season 3 dungeon pool; exact tuning and final mechanics can still change during testing. Read the official World of Warcraft developer preview.
