Blizzard has outlined its WoW Season 2 class tuning plan for Midnight. The team says it will watch internal data and player feedback from raids, Mythic+, PvP, and Delves. The schedule gives players a clearer idea of when early balance changes may arrive.
Season 2 began on August 19, followed by a planned first-week tuning pass on August 26. A second pass is scheduled for September 2, with another planned for September 23. Blizzard describes these as target dates, so they may change if live conditions require a different response.
The developers expect early progression tuning to be conservative. Blizzard specifically noted that it wants to be careful before Ula’tek is defeated on Mythic difficulty. However, disruptive bugs or clearly unhealthy trends can still lead to immediate hotfixes rather than waiting for the next scheduled balance pass.
After the September window, Blizzard expects roughly four additional tuning passes between September 22 and the launch of Season 3. The exact timing has not been locked. That longer roadmap suggests balance work will continue after the first rush of raid progression, but it does not guarantee how large each update will be.
No exact class or specialization buffs and nerfs were announced in the schedule. The dates and monitoring plan are confirmed; predictions about which specs will rise or fall would be speculation. Players should read each hotfix post before changing a character, build, or raid plan.
